Under the accord, Myongji Medical Foundation’s affiliated institutions, including Myongji Hospital, Jecheon Myongji Hospital, MJ Cell Bio, and CancerRop, will maintain close cooperative relationships with HLB Group affiliates in the fields of basic and clinical research and development.
The two sides will focus on joint R&D and technology exchange, cooperation to support the commercialization of medical development, joint use of equipment and facilities and exchange of R&D personnel, hosting of international conferences and seminars, academic conferences, and other projects deemed necessary by both organizations.
"Until now, we have been pursuing to become a new next-generation research-oriented hospital with an original open innovation strategy," Myongji Medical Foundation Chairman Lee Wang-jun said. "The agreement with HLB Group will serve as an opportunity for us to grow into a biomedical hub that encompasses all biomedical ecosystems, such as clinical, research, development, industrialization, and investment structure."
HLB Chairman Jin Yang-gon also said, "By combining HLB Group's various innovative drug pipelines and the Myongji Medical Foundation's abundant clinical capabilities, we expect to produce various outcomes at an early stage." Through practical cooperation, the company will make an exemplary model in the local bio business, which is still weak.
