Myongji Hospital to transfer advanced medical technology to Uzbekistan
Myongji Hospital said it would transfer advanced medical technology to Uzbekistan.
Myongji Hospital and the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology of Uzbekistan agreed Wednesday to cooperate in broad fields, such as medical technology, training of medical personnel, promoting joint academic conferences and seminars, research activities such as clinical trials, attracting patients, sharing medical care and service, Myongji Hospital said.
“Currently, we are establishing a new cancer center in Uzbekistan,” said Tillyashaikhov Mirzagaleb Nigmatovich, director of the Uzbek medical center, after the online agreement ceremony. “We expect to build an excellent cancer center through exchanges and cooperation with Myongji Hospital.”
Myongji Hospital Director-General Kim Sae-chul said, “Our relationship started when medical workers from the Uzbekistan National Cancer Center received training at Myongjiearlier this year, leading to this agreement. We hope that the agreement will enhance the relationship so that the two hospitals can develop through continuous exchanges in the future.”
Myongji Hospital has been dispatching medical volunteers to Uzbekistan since 2003 to educate local medical workers, provide free treatment for low-income families, and support medical institutions.
